I am going for 'seamless'. That is my goal when reviewing business processes at a client site. The more manual entry, the more potential for errors. So we've created software where 'seamless' is achievable. A simple sheet plant example: Plant A enters a sales order for a customer. A supply order is automatically generated for the required sheets. A sales order is then auto-generated for Plant B to produce the sheets and ship them to Plant A who receives and consumes them against the supply order. One initial order created that takes care of the supply and the subsequent production of the material. That is 'seamless'.
